Brian Temba is an internationally acclaimed and award winning singer, songwriter and record producer. Brian is also an actor with both theatre and television experience. Brian was the first South African to play the role of Simba in the Award-winning musical “The Lion King” on the West End Stage - Lyceum Theatre in the UK for 5 years (2003-2008). Before that, he was part of the original LA Cast of the Lion King-Pantages Theatre USA, from (2000-2003). He was called back in 2011 for a year, to join The Lion King-Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas cast in the USA. He was part of “Lion and the Lamb” musical play directed by John Kani – Market Theatre in South Africa in 1999. The South African king of RnB has worked across the world, having acted on the international musical of the Lion King both in the USA and England, where he was based for a few years. Born in Umtata and raised in Soshanguve, North of Pretoria (Tshwane), he plies his trade on his own projects and other established artists. CONNELL CRUISE Fresh from his time in the United States performing at iconic venues such as The Bitter End in New York City and The Troubadour in Los Angeles, Connell Cruise has returned to South Africa to continue his meteoric music career. His debut hit “Not Just Friends” took South African radio stations by storm and garnered him three SAMA nominations. He has since topped the charts throughout the country with 11 hit singles. His release of his EP “Into the Wild” introduced him to the international music audience and created world-wide social media buzz. Connell’s unique sound and established success-–coupled with his determination and relentless work ethic--grabbed the attention of none other than music industry legend L.A. Reid. Connell’s deal with Island Records in 2015 is regarded as the largest record deal in South African music history. Connell has toured across the United States with fan-favourite band SafetySuit and has shared the stage with a wide range of musical talents--from Harry Bellefonte to Adam Lambert. Connell has written and produced music with a long list of established international hit makers, such as Ido Zmishlany, John Ryan, and Teddy Geiger. He is currently working with David Gresham Records on an upcoming album, to be released next year. MAHALIA BUCHANAN A gifted vocalist and a worship leader, Mahalia, recognised music’s impact at a very young age, treasuring it as a gift. With her warm and powerful voice, Mahalia’s musical accomplishments in the gospel industry never cease to testify on her anointing. Foremost on the list of her strong musical journey is her contribution to South Africa’s biggest gospel group and global name, Joyous Celebration. She was also afforded a Presenting platform on “Gospel Truth”, a musical program on South Africa’s most popular gospel channel. Mahalia has performed extensively as a soloist. She has ministered to millions of people all over the world in mega gospel programs such as “Gospel goes Classical” alongside Jonathan Butler. However, the ultimate highlight of her entire musical journey was evident when she delivered a seismic solo performance with internationally renowned gospel artist and Pastor, Donnie McClurkin. Mahalia is fuelled by her passion to see people all over the world inspired to worship and praise God through Spirit-born music and lyrics, and to see the name of God lifted up through her music. She has a passion for the glory of God! TEBOHO MOLOI Teboho was born in Kestell, Eastern Free State, a small town between Bethlehem and Qwaqwa. He started singing at his church - St. John’s Apostolic Church at the age of twelve. He followed this by joining a local band and started to experiment with keyboards. He would sing at retail stores in shopping centres, mainly in Qwaqwa in front of crowds where he began to gain popularity. He got his first break in 2005 and recorded a small budget album called ‘Emmanuel’. He then started getting invitations to sing at corporate events, funerals and weddings. The Free State Premier Hon. Ace Makgashule spotted him at one of the funerals in the province and he has since been invited to perform at many government events. In 2012/2013 the popular Lesedi FM presenter Thuso Motaung, who is his big fan, arranged with Lindelani Mkhize of Joyous Celebration to come listen to Teboho. He was very impressed and went on to rehearse with Joyous Celebration at the Baseline for their Joyous Rewind tour. He has performed alongside greats such as: Sfiso Ncwane, Solly Mahlangu, Rebecca Malope, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Benjamin Dube and Joyous Celebration. He has also performed on Season 2 & Season 3 of a show called ‘Gospel Classics’ and Gospel Time on SABC2 on Sundays.
