Kas Lionheart Junathan (aka KAS) was introduced to the music industry at the tender age of 7 and performed regularly to crowds of around 400 people in his homeland Nigeria. Showing such verve and confidence so early on musically, KAS continued to follow what he felt was a Fire God had put in his heart! Haven been to citry and islington college to learn music production at the age of 18, and soon after, KAS then embraced this passion and set out in pursuit of a career as an entertainer. Over the last decade he has harnessed his performance and production skills becoming one of Africa’s most sought after recording artist and producer KAS epitomizes the new and ever growing youthful sound, of African music today. Born to a Nigerian father and a British mother he is the last son of two. He is of Yoruba decent and is occasionally referred to as ‘Omo Yoruba’ meaning ‘Son of the Yoruba tribe’. KAS openly exudes pride and takes full ownership of his Yoruba inheritance despite his British up bringing. THE PRODUCER / ARTIST (KAS) Hugely inspired by music legends such as Phil Collins, R.Kelly. Ray Charles and Timbaland, KAS ‘Omo Yoruba’ prides the originality of his production and deliverance in music on its unique and futuristic composition and sound. By no means has KAS ambition exceeded his talent! He is currently becoming a household brand within the African music industry. So much so, that this multi talented singer song writer/ producer has been hailed as the future Puff Daddy of Africa, by some of the most reputable and accredited groups within the African media. KAS not only has the vision of musical greatness, but also for those who have been fortunate enough to see him perform live, would know he is a true entertainer. After years of co-writing and producing songs with the likes of Sir Shino Peters, M.I, Nneka, Goldie, Naeto C, 2face, Dbanj, Ice-Prince M-I Wande Coal and Duncan Mighty to name a few, he released his first single ‘Wind For Me’, followed by the monstrous anthem ‘Fi Mi Le’ in 2010. ‘Fi Mi Le’ written and produced by KAS himself, became a hit instantly. The single 'Like A Bottle' and video which featured a list of A-list recording artist was later released and its popularity in Africa demonstrates KAS’s ability to not only produce another hit single, but to be able to producer a track specifically for a commercial product, something very few African producers have been able to achieve or even consider delving into. LABEL EXECUTIVE (KASBEATS ENTERTAINMENT): His career as a recording artist and entertainer has gone from strength to strength and in 2011 he expanded his empire demonstrating once again his vision as an entrepreneur by setting up his label KAS BEATS Entertainment. At the top of the year he signed his first acts Tonto Dikeh the number 1 female actress in Nigerian Nollywood the worlds second biggest movie industry. KAS is the founder of the KAS Kids Foundation a Charity set up for homeless children in Nigeria.
