About Anaetoh Peter

Anaetoh Peter is a Roots and Culture Reggea artist from Nigeria. Born Anaetoh Peter Amailo in Abakaliki on April 10, 1980. The family later moved to Jalingo, where Peter grew and spent most of his life. After competing his primary education at Hassan Primary School Jalingo, he gained admission into Federal Government College Wukari. During his time in the college, his passion for reggae music began to grow, always in the music room learning how to play piano, organ, bass guitar and drums playing tunes from Bob Marley, Lucky Dube and Eric Donaldson. His first time on stage was in 1998 in the college night show where he performed war and crime by Lucky Dube. Peter also holds a bachelors degree in Computer Science at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, class of 2005. After his one year national service at Ajakuta Steel Complex Kogi state as an instructor, he moved back to Jalingo to establish a business. While in Jalingo, Peter began to write songs drawing inspiration from what he sees or hears and also from his thoughts and understanding and at the same time teaching himself how to play reggae rhythm on lead guitar. Peter is happily married with two children Africa Rising is his debut album with 10 tracks. The songs in this album will en-light, educate, uplift and entertain every listener.
